Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 September 2026

Clarence Property Group Ltd. (“we”, “us”, “our”) acquires residential and commercial property across London and the South East. This policy explains what we do with personal information collected through clarencepropertygroup.com.

We have tried to write it in plain English. If anything here is unclear, please ask — our contact details are at the end.

Who is responsible for your information

Clarence Property Group Limited is the data controller for the information described in this policy.

  • Registered office: Synergy House, 4th Floor, 114–118 Southampton Row, London WC1B 5AA
  • Registered in England and Wales, company number: 10761059
  • Email: enquiries@clarencepropertygroup.com
  • Telephone: 020 3137 6733

We are not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer. Questions about this policy, or any request about your information, should go to the email address above.

What we collect, and why

When you submit a property for consideration

Our Get in Touch form asks for your name, email address and telephone number, the address of the property, your relationship to it (for example owner, agent, executor or legal representative), and details of the property itself — type, tenure, lease length, condition, any structural issues, and how quickly you are looking to sell.

We use this to assess whether the property is one we want to acquire and to contact you about it. We ask for the property details because they are what determine whether we can make an offer. We do not collect them for any other purpose.

Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in considering property offered to us and in responding to people who contact us. Where discussions progress towards a sale, we also process your information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.

When you make a professional enquiry

Our Work With Us form asks for your name, company, telephone number, email address and the details of your enquiry. We use this to reply to you and, where relevant, to establish a working relationship.

Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries from property professionals.

When you simply visit the website

We use a self-hosted analytics tool that records which pages are viewed, the site or search engine you arrived from, and general device and browser information. It does not use cookies, it does not follow you across other websites, and it does not build a profile of you. We do not use IP addresses to identify individual visitors.

Our web host and our security software also keep automatic logs, which include IP addresses, as a protection against attacks on the site.

Our lawful basis for both is our legitimate interest in understanding how the website is used and in keeping it secure.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies on your device, and there is nothing here for you to consent to.

We do not use Google Analytics, advertising trackers, social media pixels, or any other technology that follows you from site to site. The only exception is that if you log in to the website as an administrator, WordPress sets cookies that are necessary to keep you logged in.

For completeness: WordPress stores a single technical value in your browser recording whether it supports emoji characters. It contains no information about you and is discarded when you close the tab.

Who else sees your information

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

We do use a small number of suppliers who process information on our behalf, under contract and on our instructions only:

  • SiteGround — hosts the website and the database in which form submissions are stored.
  • Mailgun — delivers the notification emails our forms generate.
  • Wordfence — provides website security and firewall protection.

Some of these suppliers are based outside the United Kingdom; Mailgun and Wordfence are United States companies. Where your information is transferred outside the UK, that transfer is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or other safeguards approved under UK data protection law.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or to our professional advisers where necessary — for example solicitors acting on a transaction to which you are a party.

Fonts

This website loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests those files from Google, which means Google receives your IP address. Google receives no other information from this site, and no cookie is set. We are moving these files onto our own server so that this no longer happens.

How long we keep it

  • The enquiry you submit through this website: 3 years from the date you submit it, after which it is deleted automatically. Properties come back to the market, and a submission we could not act on at the time may be one we can act on later.
  • Records of a completed purchase: 6 years from completion. These are our own transaction records, held outside this website, and we keep them so that we can deal with any question or claim arising from the sale.
  • Professional enquiries: 2 years from the date you send them, or for as long as we have an ongoing working relationship.
  • Analytics records: 14 months.
  • Security and server logs: 30 days.

If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will, unless we are required to keep it — for example because it forms part of the record of a completed property transaction.

Marketing

We will not add you to a mailing list because you submitted a property or made an enquiry. If we ever want to send you marketing, we will ask you separately, you will be free to say no, and you may change your mind at any time afterwards.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • have it corrected if it is wrong or incomplete;
  • have it deleted, where we have no continuing reason to keep it;
  • restrict what we do with it while a question about it is resolved;
  • object to our processing it on the basis of legitimate interests, including objecting to analytics;
  • receive it in a portable format, where the processing is carried out by automated means and is based on your consent or on a contract with you.

To exercise any of these, email enquiries@clarencepropertygroup.com. We will respond within one month, and there is no charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so that we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at any time:

Information Commissioner’s Office Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF Telephone 0303 123 1113 — ico.org.uk

Automated decision-making

We do not make any decision about you by automated means. Every property submitted to us is read and assessed by a person.

Children

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18.

Links to other websites

Our pages link to our profiles on Facebook, X, Instagram and LinkedIn. Once you follow one of those links you are on their website, governed by their privacy policy rather than this one.

Changes to this policy

We review this policy whenever we change how the website works. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. Where a change is significant we will say so on this page.
